About your experience

Why buy souvenirs, when you can make your own? And what a souvenir: a beautiful and everlasting Filigrana's golden heart!!!

In this experience, you will learn, step by step, the process of creating this complex jewelry, while you make your very own golden heart.

"Filigrana" is an ancient ornamental work made from very fine yarns and tiny metal balls, that goes as far as Greco-Roman ancient times.

After picking you up, we will go to the Welcome Center of the Filigree Route, located in a historic house, the White House of Gramido.

Then, we will proceed to the jewelery school, where you will participate in a workshop about this traditional art, where you will create your own piece of filigree.

We will also visit a renowned local "filigrana" producer, famous for making a breathtaking golden heart for Sharon Stone. All his pieces are handmade in a traditional way and he will show every single step. In the end, you can also see his last works and, if you like, buy one directly from him.

On top of that, you will also have a tour around Porto by Tesla car through the scenic route along Douro river, while we admire the views and talk a bit more about our local traditions.

For lunch, I have a few restaurants I can suggest depending on your taste (and budget) or if you prefer bringing your own we can stop in a nice viewpoint.
